"Welcome” – our front door reads…and we mean it. Where pop by-ers are welcome and the scent of coffee and laundry take turns. Our home tells a story, and I think thats my favorite part. In any room I go in there is a piece of something, that shares a relationship with someone.

I know this can feel tough, but I promise it doesn’t have to be. Especially if you are coordinating a whole group of people, you better listen Linda!!
A uniform color palette is important. Give your family options to pick from: Here are some examples….
I want you to think about what you want to do with the photos after our shoot.
Enter thinking zone:
Will they go on your walls? Or maybe a mantel? Gifting to someone else?
Maybe it would be better to dress in something neutral so they match everyone’s style and decor…
Especially if this is a once a year thing (But I totally hope to see you again in the Spring!) Tans, greys, creams, black, brown, denim, even navy work great! When you start throwing red in the photos they look more seasonal and are only appropriate during fall or Christmas-ish.
Dresses are encouraged! I already know you may be thinking “I’m so not a dress girl.” Trust me, I was the same way. I live in leggings and t-shirts but thennn I tried it. And there is just something about a dress that elevates photographs and makes you feel like a rockstar. Think long, flowy, or something with layers.

For those set on being anti-dressers, please be sure and layer! Okay, you got outta wearing a dress (however I totally think you would’ve rocked it) – but please add a layer. It could be as easy as a scarf, an open sweater with a turtleneck, maybe a cute jacket with your top … but something ! And bonus: It gives your hands something to play with and do during the shoot. We will be moving and walking and wanting to create the most natural look possible.

Here is my cute fam’s fall session!
Guys: Again layers are awesome. It gives your outfit some dimension and shows us you’ve got style ! Pop your collar?! Okay no, but we do love collars! Hats, watches, bring ‘em out!
Speaking of accessories, ladies, that goes for you too! Bring ‘em all! I LOVE a fabulous hat and fun earrings to pair.
Please be sure to share our suggestions to your family in order to create a uniform look (without too much matchy matchy) throughout the photos. Hi fam! Its your crazy photographer here. Last thing, even though I’m giving you all these pointers it’s also important to not overthink it! The best thing you will wear is your smile and girl, we are going to have all the fun!
